Dr. Spyridon A. Petropoulos (M) is currently an Assistant Professor and head of Laboratory of Vegetable Production at the University of Thessaly. He received his PhD diploma in Agricultural Sciences in 2006 from the Agricultural University of Athens, his MSc in 2001 in Vegetable Production and his BSc in 1998 in Crop

Production. His research interests include the evaluation of essential oils of herbs and medicinal plants in different cultivation systems and cultivation practices He has authored and co-authored 69 scientific papers in Science Citation Index Journals (606 citations, h-value=14, according to Scopus search on 28-8-2019), has published two books (in Greek) and several book chapters (in English), has taken part in scientific programs as well as in international and national conferences.

Dr. Vasileios Antoniadis (M) is currently an Associate Professor in the Laboratory of Soil Science and a faculty member of the University of Thessaly since 2010. He has participated in 13 research Projects (of which 2 as a Principal Investigator). He is supervising 1 PhD Thesis, 1 MSc Thesis and 6 BSc dissertations, while he has completed another 8 MSc Theses and 22 BSc dissertations. He has been a reviewer in 106 papers in 39 different scientific Journals. He has co-authored 55 papers in Science Citation Index Journals (1017 citations, h-value=15, according to Scopus search on 28-8-2019), 2 book chapters, and 48 full papers presented in national and international conferences.

Dr. Nikolaos Danalatos (M) is currently a Full Professor of Agronomy and Plant Ecology at the University of Thessaly (since 2006). He was Deputy Rector of Organization and Operation of Administrative Services of the University of Thessaly (2013-2014) and President of the Department of Agricultural Production and Rural Environment of the University of Thessaly for two terms, 2014-2016 and 2016-2018. He received his MSc (1986) and PhD (1993) in Soil Science from Wageningen University. He has authored and co-authored 43 scientific papers in Science Citation Index Journals, 19 books and book chapters (1264 citations, h-value=17, according to Scopus search on 28-8-2019), and has participated in several international and national conferences. He has participated in 20 European Union research programs with the coordination in 4 of them. He has also supervised more than 60 postgraduate students and 6 PhD theses.

Dr. Anestis Karkanis (M) is Assistant Professor and head of Laboratory of Weed Science in the University of Thessaly. He received his PhD diploma in Weed Science in 2007 from the Agricultural University of Athens, his MSc in 2003 in Field Crops and Plant Breeding and his BSc in 2002 in Crop Production from the same University. He has extensive experience in the weed biology, crop-weed interactions, weed management in field crops and vegetables, integrated weed management, pharmaceutical and nutritional value of weeds, new field crops, herbicide-resistant weeds and their management. He has participated and participates as scientifically responsible or as a member of the research team in eight funded research projects (etc. FP7, Horizon 2020). He is a supervisor of sixteen BSc dissertations, three MSc thesis and one PhD thesis. He has authored and co-authored 61 scientific papers in Science Citation Index Journals (553 citations, h-value=12, according to Scopus search on 28-8-2019)

Dr. Konstantinos Petrotos (M) is a Chemical Engineer with a PhD diploma in Agricultural Industry Engineering and Food Biosystems. Currently he is a professor of Food and Agricultural Products Processing at the University of Thessaly. His research interest include the application of membrane technology in food processing and in agricultural and food wastes, novel techniques in food preservation, micro- and nano- encapsulation of bioactive compounds for further use in the food industry. He has published more than 100 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals (43 papers, 771 citations, h index=14 according to Scopus search on 28-8-2019) and national and international conferences and three book chapters, and holds 15 patents related with the application of innovative techniques in the food industry and innovative food products. He has participated and/or coordinated several national and international research programs.

Dr. Nikolaos Polyzos (M) is a PhD student with a BSc and MSc diploma in Crop production and Plant Breeding, respectively.
