Dr. Lillian Barros (F) is an assistant researcher at the Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO), Instituto Politécnico de Bragança and vice-coordinator of CIMO. She obtained her PhD in Pharmacy (Nutrition and Bromatology) at the University of Salamanca (2008). She has published more than 515 indexed papers in the Food Science and Technology area (61 h‐index), edited 4 books, written several book chapters, registered 8 patents, is principal investigator of several research projects and has supervision several post-doc, PhD and master students. She has reached top positions in the world rankings, such as Highly Cited Researcher Clarivate, since 2016. Her research targets are mainly in the identification, separation and recovery of functional molecules from different natural products.

Dr. Ângela Sofia Feitor Fernandes (F) is a Junior Researcher at CIMO-IPB since 04/2019. She obtained her Degree in Clinical Analysis and Public Health, School of Health of Institute Jean Piaget, Macedo de Cavaleiros; Master in Food Quality and Safety, Polytechnic Institute of Bragança – School of Agriculture; completed her PhD “Doctor Europeus” in Pharmacy Sciences – Nutrition and Food Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto. Participates in 11 R&I projects, collaborates with National and International institutions, and has published 108 indexed papers (24 h‐index with over 1890 citations), 5 book chapters, 13 publications in proceedings of scientific meetings and 130 communications in national and international congresses. Editorial Board of Agriculture. Specialist in natural products, food analysis, extraction methods, emerging technologies for food conservation (gamma and electron bean irradiation) and photoconversion of ergosterol into ergocalciferol (UV-ABC).

Dr. Carla Susana Correia Pereira (F) is a Junior Researcher at Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, since January of 2019. She obtained her Degree in Chemical Engineering and Master in Food Quality and Safety at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, and PhD in Pharmacy and Health at the University of Salamanca. She participates or has participated in 13 R&D projects and has published 66 indexed papers, 4 international book chapters, 11 publications in proceedings of scientific meetings, 48 oral communications (27 international), and 57 posters (23 international) in scientific meetings. She is an Editorial Board Member of Agronomy (MDPI) and is Guest Editor of 1 Topical Collection (Antioxidants, MDPI), 2 Special Issues (Agronomy, MDPI; Food Bioscience, Elsevier; Frontiers), and 1 Research Topic (Frontiers in Nutrition, Frontiers). She is the PI of 1 R&D Project.

Dr. José Virgílio Santulhão Pinela (M) is Researcher at Mountain Research Centre (CIMO), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal. He holds a BSc in Phytopharmacy and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (2013) and a MSc in Biotechnology (2012) from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), Portugal, and a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry (2017) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Portugal. He also studied at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, under the ERASMUS program (09/2009-02/2010). In 2016, he completed an advanced training period of 3 consecutive months at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He published more than 60 Scientific Papers and co-authored 9 Book Chapters. Guest editor of MDPI, Frontiers, and Elsevier journals, currently editing 5 special issues. With participation in 8 R&I Projects and supervision of 1 PhD (ongoing), 8 MSc (3 ongoing) and 2 BSc students. Member of juries of academic degree (PhD and MSc) and other competitions. He was part of Organizing and Support Committees of national and international scientific events. He is in the leadership of the Young Chemists Group of the Portuguese Chemical Society since September 2018. He reviews for ISI-indexed scientific journals since 2015. He also participates in activities to promote dissemination of scientific culture and knowledge.

Dr. Maria Inês Moreira Figueiredo Dias (M) is a Junior Researcher at Mountain Research Centre (CIMO), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), Portugal, since April 2019. She holds a PhD “Doctor Europeus” in Sustainable Chemistry (2017, University of Porto, Portugal), MSc in Biotechnology (2011, IPB) and BSc in Biotechnological Engineering (2009, IPB). She performed two International internships at the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Salamanca, Spain (2016) and at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain (2014), as also studies at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Salamanca under the ERASMUS program (2008-2009). Co-author of 109 indexed papers and 7 international/national book chapters, she is also an Editorial Board Member of Molecules (MDPI) and is Guest Editor of 3 Special Issues (Molecules, MDPI; Food Bioscience, Elsevier; Frontiers). Participates in 9 R&I projects and is the co-author of 13 proceedings, and 125 oral/poster communications in scientific meetings. She supervises 3 PhD (ongoing) and 4 MSc students, and is a member of juries of academic degree (PhD and MSc). Reviews for ISI-indexed scientific journals and actively participates in the dissemination of the scientific culture and knowledge.
